Have you been told that meditation is the answer to chronic stress and cure-all to all of life’s challenges and woes?
Have you been told that all you have to do is meditate and you will feel better?
So, maybe you decided to do just that. You sat down and tried to calm your mind and your thoughts, but you gave up because it was too frustrating. Maybe it was too unbearable to sit still, or those thoughts just don’t stop coming. Maybe it even left you feeling worse then when you started. You’re not crazy and you didn’t fail at meditation.
Meditation probably just wasn't the best first step for you to take for you to come into a loving relationship with yourself.
